About The Endorphin Junkie

Hey Everyone! Welcome to Endorphin Junkie :)I have been reading food and fitness blogs for several years now, and really wanted to start my own! I chose the name ‘Endorphin Junkie’ because I’m literally addicted to the high exercise gives me every day (except rest days of course…)

I’ve played sports since I could walk, and started running in college when my Dad signed me up for my first half marathon.  I’ve now run several half marathons, 10 milers, 10Ks and 5Ks and hope to run a million more 🙂  My sister also runs and is a Zumba instructor, so we keep fitness in the family.

I’m also addicted to sweets (chocolate specifically), so I spend some of my free time baking.  I’ve baked cupcakes for a wedding (with the help of my Mom)…but mostly I just bake for myself and various parties that request baked good (which is every party…duh!).

I married my best friend on August 7, 2010.  My husband, Andrew, isn’t a runner (yet!), but he is one of my biggest fans and supporters and has gotten up at crazy hours of the morning to watch me run.  I don’t know what I would do without him!

I started going back to school a little over a year ago to complete my pre-requisites for Physical Therapy school.  Now that the applications are in, I wait (and pray) that some of the schools get in touch for interviews and (hopefully) accept me!  UPDATE: I GOT INTO PT SCHOOL!! I will be attending the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.  The school year starts in August 2014 and I can’t wait!

I hope you enjoy my random posts about running, fitness, food, baking, chocolate (or lack of chocolate), adventures, and aren’t annoyed by my spelling and grammar errors. Thanks for reading 🙂
