Happy Saturday! Hope you’re all doing well. My life has been completely insane over the past months (um, years, my bad). School took over my life, I completed my second and third clinical rotations, had some health issues (which have since mostly resolved!), and Andrew and I bought our first home!
I decided to try a running group that met down the street from our house, so actually got my butt out of bed early on a Saturday! The website said the group would start at 8:00am, so I set the alarm for 7:00am (sorry Andrew!) so I could eat something and get hydrated before going out in the crazy humidity that is North Carolina. And, of course, take a mirror selfie (duh!).
I immediately starting freaking out, but these awesome people that lived in the apartments near by let me join them. Once I was done with the run I talked to the woman in charge of the group, who apologized, gave me the new start time for next week, and said that they actually needed mentors for their half marathon training program (which always makes me nervous!). I’m super excited to get involved and help others run my favorite distance 🙂
After the run with the group (3.1 miles) I went home and ran 2 more. Then I iced my Achilles and watched some mind numbing reality TV.
