Hi Everyone! Hope you’re have a good Sunday 🙂 I’m lucky enough to have MLK day off from school so I can catch up on the studying I didn’t do yesterday because WE BOUGHT A CAR!!! Andrew’s car (which I lovingly named the ‘piece of sh*t car’) has gone bye bye for a brand up Nissan Altima.
Andrew is in love with the car and I’m happy that I can have my Dodge Avenger back (which I lovingly named ‘Avie’ when we got her in 2012).
The whole buying the car thing took up most of the day yesterday, but in between sitting and waiting at the dealership, we went to some of my favorite places, including Costco, Target, and Chickfila. While I was cleaning out my wallet, I found a random Target giftcard. That giftcard combined with the giftcard we got from buying a butt ton of toilet paper, coupons, and Target’s Cartwheel app bought our bill down to under $20 (score!!). So we decided to celebrate by buying Starbucks:
But we really only paid for one drink! I called Starbucks customer service the other day because I didn’t get bonus stars that I was supposed to get for a drink I purchased (I know, first world problems). I was just expecting them to add the bonus stars, but then they told me that they were crediting my account $5 for the mix up! I definitely was not expecting that (and told her that as I was profusely thanking her) but that meant I pretty much got a drink for free! I am really appreciative of the awesome customer service I’ve had with Starbucks in the past, and I will definitely continue to buy coffee from them (even if it is kinda expensive 😉 ). Plus the whole getting stars to maintain Gold level was genius because my type-A personality self is like, Ermahgerd!!!:

That is really great that Starbucks did that! And congrats on the new car! I am off tomorrow but I already know its gonna be a busy day of errands…oh well, at least I don’t have to go to work!
Thanks! I’m sure the amount of school work I didn’t do this weekend will keep me nice and busy tomorrow 🙂 But at least it’s an extra day to get things done!
Starbucks could cost $10 and I’d still buy it. I’m addicted to that place.
Congrats on the new car! It’s so shiny! Car buying can definitely take up a huge chunk of your day. My husband sells them and it’s exhausting for him sometimes! 😀
Thanks, we’re happy about the new addition 🙂 and I wish Starbucks wasn’t so expensive…but we have it as a budget item, so once my giftcard runs out I’m done for awhile (hopefully I can live without it haha).
