‘Life is like a box of chocolates…’

So yesterday a somewhat eventful day.  I started it by running!!! Not very far…but still!

Over 2 miles of running...woo hoo!

I also added 25 mins on the elliptical before I headed back to my apartment to get ready for girls night.

I decided to invite the girls from my class over since Sara wanted to meet them. I unfortunately didn’t take any pictures, but one of the girls brought over the biggest box of chocolates I have ever seen!

We hung out, played Cards Against Humanity (if you’ve never played, it’s like the game Apples to Apples, but a more ‘adult’ version that offends just about everyone), and ate drank our weight in chocolate and wine.  I think I drank a little too much wine, because when my alarm went off at 6:00am I said heeeeellll no and set another alarm for 8:00am.  I then woke Sara up, and we had breakfast and watched Friends on Netflix.  I finished season one (in 1.5 days) and started season two.  I think I have a problem!

I start school tomorrow, and I’m kind of nervous.  Everyone is saying the classes get harder as you move through the program, so I’m just trying to remind myself to take it one day at a time.

Everything is ready to go!

Since I have 8:00am classes every day, I’m going to start working out after class and try some of the fitness classes at UNC.  Some of them look pretty intense, yet awesome.

The Gym Cheat Sheet

Well…I should go hang out with Andrew since I haven’t seen him all day.  He started his new job on Monday and he’s also tutoring, so he’s pretty tired by the end of day!

What exercise classes do you take (if any)?

In a box of chocolate, which one(s) is (are) your favorite? I really like the chocolate caramels, and the chocolate butter crème!

Confession: Whenever someone gives me chocolates, I squeeze them before I eat them because I hate the coconut ones so much and want to throw them in the trash before they touch my mouth. 🙂

Congrats on your run and I hope your semester starts off great! I think you’ll be fine. 🙂

Exercise classes? Yoga, barre, Body Pump, occasionally spin. I love them all.

I know so many people that hate the coconut ones…so you can hand those to me next time because I love those…haha. But squeezing them is such a good idea, because sometimes you really don’t know what the flavor is and it ends up being something gross! Also, thanks for the words of encouragement. I’m excited about starting a new semester and the nerves will probably go away once I get to all of my classes. Have a great Wednesday 🙂

  2. Ohhhh, chocolate. I like the truffles and coconut ones – I’ll take Salt’s 🙂 We played Cards Against Humanity last year a few times and I considered it a workout because we laughed so much. It was so fun and offensive at the same time. Have a great week of class!
